Congratulations to Muhammad Muaz IQBAL, our PSRS 2nd Cohort Alumni, who received the "Best Master Award in Optics for 2023" at University of Eastern Finland for his work : "Graphene enhanced dielectric metasurface: towards close to perfect absorption, designed, manufactured and characterised a graphene-like film enhanced with a 3D-printed dielectric metasurface. The main goal was to achieve near-perfect absorption at various angles of light incidence..

Congratulations as well to Onah Ebere, our PSRS 2nd Cohort Alumni, who received the "Best Master Award in Optics for 2023" at University of Eastern Finland for her work : Hybrid Active Polymer Nano-Waveguide, focused on designing and manufacturing a waveguide containing active material enabling excitation and collection.

The award is funded by a donation from Huawei Technologies (Finland). The award is presented in recognition of a notable Master’s thesis in the field of photonics, one that has made significant use of, or a significant contribution to, photonics.
