Congratulations on being selected for the iPSRS Master’s programme!

What are the next steps before your second semester as an iPSRS student? How can you best prepare in time for your move to Finland, to the city of Joensuu, where the University of Eastern Finland is located, and where you will spend your second semester?

1. Read about available housing options

2. Register

Follow the registration instruction for new students available on this page.

3.  Send your notification de mobilité You will study in Finland in semester 2 with the visa you obtained for France; just remember to submit your mobility notification before you leave.  More information about Mobility notification to Finland is available in the webpage of Finnish Immigration Services.

4. Plan your travel

You can book a flight to the city of Helsinki, then travel from Helsinki to Joensuu by train, bus or domestic flight.

We strongly advise you to carefully plan your arrival to make sure you arrive in Joensuu before the starting date of Semester 2. Due to administrative registration, we recommend you to arrive in Finland a week or so (January 11, 2027) prior to the start of the S2 courses on January 18, 2027.

The sessions are aimed for all the new international students (degree seeking students in the Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes and exchange students). More information on this page.
